The Roundabout Plaza is a beautiful nine-story office building located in the historic Music Row district of Nashville. This project has a three-level parking garage below the structure with an adjacent four-story parking garage. The Roundabout Plaza has two electrical services with a 500-kW emergency generator. There is a 5000-amp service for the tower and an 800-amp service for the garage.
The challenges of this project included parking for the construction trades, handling of materials and a difficult schedule. On-site storage of materials was not an option. Arranging material shipment times with particular times to pour concrete was a challenge.
The front of the building overlooks a bronze statue that is the central focal point of the Roundabout. From the top floors of the plaza, the view is spectacular. The plaza was a welcomed site to the developing district, providing a multi-use facility to the area. It also provided a new location to serve the banking needs of nearby businesses.
Before the building’s shell was completed, 80 percent of the building was leased. The tenant spaces were under construction during the same time frame as the construction of the shell. Enterprise Solutions started the project in July 2003, completing it in January 2005.
