Enterprise Electric, LLC's Description of Safety Program

It is our belief that everyone, beginning with the CEO of Enterprise Electric, LLC is responsible for safety. We believe all incidents and injuries are preventable and demonstrate this belief through daily and weekly safety programs put in place to achieve these goals. These programs include: New Hire Orientation, Employee Drug Screening (pre-employment, post-accident, and random), Pre-Task Planning, Stretch & Flex, Annual Seminar, and Safety Training.

Superintendents and foreman on each jobsite are responsible for ensuring employees have the right tools, equipment, and qualifications to perform their assigned tasks. All employees are held accountable for safe work practices and are responsible for notifying management of unsafe conditions or the unsafe actions of others.

All new hires begin their employment by participating in a mandatory New Hire Orientation. This orientation is a hands-on training approach with a heavy emphasis on the Safety Policies & Procedures of Enterprise Electric, LLC. Training includes: OSHA regulations, Ladder Safety, Electrical Hot Work Policy, Hazard Communication, Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, and many other items.

Each morning, all employees participate in “Stretch & Flex” and the “Take 5” Pre-task Planning technique. These programs work independently but together to reduce injuries and identify potential safety hazards on the jobsite. On a weekly basis, all field employees attend “Toolbox Talk” meetings conducted by the site Superintendent. These pre-shift activities allow the superintendent time to interface with employees, allow “safety coaching” opportunities, as well as a forum for feedback on safety related issues.

We believe proper training is necessary for all levels of management.  All Enterprise Electric, LLC Owners, Officers, Project Managers, and Superintendents are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA 30-Hour. We customize safety and equipment training as required for each specific jobsite, including forklift, aerial lift, confined space, blood borne pathogen awareness, backhoe, asbestos, arc flash, and others.

Enterprise Electric, LLC conducts an annual “Seminar” where executive management, project managers, site superintendents and prospective superintendents (foremen) attend for specific safety training. This forum facilitates interface between management and site supervision to discuss common safety issues and solutions to improve our safety program’s effectiveness.

Enterprise Electric, LLC is committed to provide a safe work environment for our employees. We believe that continued training and additional knowledge prepares our employees to perform the job safely and efficiently while meeting regulatory requirements.
