Description
Florida Hospital Orlando Bed Tower Expansion is a 15 story addition to Florida Hospital’s primary campus in downtown Orlando. Phase 1 of the project was powered by a 4000 Amp main switchgear with emergency back up provided by 2250KW generators serving two emergency substations, with 14 automatic transfer switches and two UPS systems servicing the cath labs. A total of 675,000 square feet were added to the facility which includes 240 new patient beds with room for 200 more, 12 cardiac catheterization labs, multiple x-ray rooms and one of largest emergency departments in the country. Grand opening of the newly renamed Ginsburg Tower marked the 100 year anniversary for Florida Hospital. Enterprise Electric, LLC made every effort to complete the project three months ahead of schedule to ensure the anniversary date was met in November 2008. This project received the Eagle Award from the Orlando chapter of the Associate Builders and Contractors.
